Pet ownership and genealogy: You maintain
ownership and genealogy records for the national basset hound thoroughbred dog
registry, keeping information on people and dogs. Each person has an ID number,
first name, middle name, last name, address, city, state, and zip code. Each
dog is owned by a single person and has a name and a unique ID number. For each
dog, you also want to store a name, date of birth, and gender. Finally, for
each dog, you want to be able to identify its mother and father, which are, of
course, other dogs. Draw an ER diagram, and write a design outline for the
required database.
