Especially the world gets more data-driven everyday, statistics and evidence-based methods became very important tools for the government and social science disciplines. Even though, these data-driven decision making processes are very useful in policymaking, they can be very misleading as well. Depends on which methodology the scholars or policymakers are using, the results can change tremendously. As you may guess, it can create detrimental effect especially when the governments and organizations base some of their most critical decisions on organized data.
